We're raising to scale AEOify and InfillOS.
String Theory Accelerator has two AI products in market. AEOify, an answer engine optimization SaaS, has paid subscribers including Conair Corporation brands. InfillOS, a feasibility engine for infill housing, is live in Durham, NC, with a founding partner who is also its first investor. We're raising to scale both.
Why now
AEOify
AI assistants are becoming where buying research starts.
Brands spent twenty years learning to rank in search results, and have almost no way to know whether ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI Overviews will mention them at all. AEOify gives them that view and a ranked list of fixes, and established consumer brands are already paying for it.
InfillOS
Cities are allowing more infill. Feasibility still happens one lot at a time.
Small developers build much of the country's infill housing, but they evaluate land by hand, so most viable lots are never looked at. InfillOS evaluates every parcel in a market at once, and puts the results inside the AI assistants developers already use.
Where each product stands
How we build
STA is a studio: one team, a shared technical core, and products that come out of real customer problems. Consulting keeps us close to those problems. AEOify grew out of AEO audits we were doing by hand, and our client work runs on it today.
InfillOS launched with a partner rather than a pilot. BRM Collective, a land developer, uses it on a profit-participation basis and invested in it, so the product is measured by deals that close, not features shipped.
The founder
James Wagenheim has spent more than 15 years in product, program and engineering roles. At IDEXX he owned IDEXX Enterprise, a SaaS platform for corporate veterinary groups in four regions, with a 10-person team and a budget of about $3 million, and grew its usage by more than 100% in 2021.
He has taken products from prototype to board approval at PetSafe, previously founded a company that raised from investors, and at STA set the strategy and architecture for both products while writing much of the code himself.
